Marlborough Pub and Eatery

Since we opened the Marlborough Pub and Eatery at 6594 4th Line Road in North Gower in August 2007, we’ve developed a reputation for excellent food, good beer and friendly service.

After gaining extensive experience in the hospitality business, we bought the building four years ago and restored its historic 1800s character from when it was the McCurdy House hotel more than a century ago. We’ve divided the premises into a family-friendly dining room on one side and a pub on the other, where we serve eight beer brands on tap or 15 varieties in bottles.

The Marlborough is popular with the local community and regular customers also come from Kemptville, Barrhaven, Orleans and Perth. We get visitors stopping by in summer on their way to cottage country or riding the snowmobile trails in winter.

We take pride in serving homestyle food like Grandma used to make for Sunday dinner. Choices include beef, ribs, pasta and seafood and popular pub fare such as fish and chips, burgers, wings and nachos.

Our four certified chefs use the freshest, highest quality ingredients, many of them sourced locally, and our steaks (named Reader’s Choice Best in Ottawa South) are Triple Grade A Black Angus beef. Even our pies are homemade by one of our grandmothers. Our breakfasts have become famous and we serve them seven days a week.

As well as popular brews like Alexander Keith’s, Stella Artois, Corona and Budweiser and more, we serve craft beer from two local craft breweries (Kichesippi and HogsBack Brewing Co.) as well as our own Marly’s Barley. Our wine list features a strong selection of Ontario and international wines.

Our daily specials including half price wings on Monday, personal pizza on Tuesday, fajitas on Wednesday, Thirsty Thursdays and half price appetizers and prime rib on Friday and the weekend.
